Observed Associations when Glycated Haemoglobin (HbA1c ) and Earwax Glucose were Correlated with the Mean Glycaemia Over a Month
The mean glycaemia over a month was calculated as the mean between a baseline fasting and follow-up postprandial sample.
Earwax and HbA1c samples were taken one month after a baseline earwax cleaning procedure and two hours after the intake of a standardised meal.
In Herane-Vives, Andrés et al. (2020). A Novel Earwax Method to Measure Acute and Chronic Glucose Levels.

Results
More Accurate: Earwax was 59% more predictable than Glycated Haemoglobin (HbA1c ) in reflecting chronic glycaemia over a month (graphs above).
More Comfortable: As opposed to blood samples, no clinician will take your samples.
Hassle Free: No punctures.
Get your required sample size more easily. Earwax glucose is a reliable method for anaemic patients.
More economical than continuous glucose monitoring devices.
